Building consents

If the work includes structural building work, installation of waterproofing and/or additional fixtures to the property – e.g. an additional toilet - then a council consent will be required. This could entail the submission of some minor drawing documentation. Unless significant most consents are less than $ 900.

Demolition costs

Before new work can start there is the need to remove and make safe the existing bathroom fixtures/linings. Costs would include labour, floor protection and rubbish disposal costs. Typically this would be in the region of $300 to $500.
