Everybody loves taking a shower. And now bathroomware manufacturers, interior designers and Pzazz Building are taking the shower experience to new heights.

Tiny, cramped showerboxes are becoming a thing of the past as more and more homeowners demand more and more luxurious showers. Showers like this one, whether they’re glassed in or open, have become an integral part of the bathroom rather than a box in the corner.
One of the reasons that showers have become integral is that shower trays can now be built into floors, but in a bathroom renovation, this means altering the structure of the floor underneath and providing heavy-duty waterproofing. As a way around this, Italian firm Nic Design has come up with a slimline shower tray which offers the easy access of a walk-in shower
without having to alter your bathroom floor. Sort of the shower tray you have when you’re not having a shower tray.
This bathroom takes amazing underlighting effects to the extreme, making the walls and ceiling look as though they are floating.
The makers of the Nebia Spa Showerhead claim that their product “leverages advances in design and thermofluids to create a better shower experience that actually saves you thousands of gallons of water a year”. Bliss with sustainability, you could say. The showerhead has 10 precision-tuned nozzles that atomise water and massage the body while washing.
Forecast: Showers increasing steadily. One of the highlights of KBIS Bathroom Expo in Orlando this year was the “Real Rain” shower experience rainhead from Kohler which is designed to drench you with atomised water sprayed from dozens of silicone nozzles.
