House of the Year
It is with great pride that we announce that the winner of the 2018 Taranaki House of the Year Award in the prestigious $1 – 2 million category is none other than our own Isiah Reynolds of Pzazz Building Taranaki. It is also our pleasure to release the stunning and inspirational first pics of the home, which were kept under wraps until the Awards Presentation last Friday.
We announced a few weeks ago that after building many homes, our Taranaki affiliate Isiah Reynolds had finally found time to enter the Master Builders’ House of the Year Awards in the Manawatu Whanganui Taranaki region. We’re really glad he did because he came away from last Friday’s Awards Night with two awards in hand – a Regional Category Winner Award and a Gold Award.
Designed by Tony Biesiek of Imagine Building Designs, the New Plymouth home features a soaring atrium above the dining area.
The House of the Year website
called the house "A concrete vision executed with incredible precision, this New Plymouth home is ultra-modern and architecturally striking – a minimalist masterpiece. And while it stands its ground as a sculptural work of art, it’s also – pleasingly for the owners – an incredibly warm and inviting place to call home."
The kitchen by Rowson Kitchen & Joinery
has won multiple awards, including the House of the Year Regional Lifestyle Award Kitchen.
The ground level features three bedrooms, a large bathroom and a luxurious open-plan living space with double-height ceilings in the dining area.
A custom-made front door and powder-coated steel stairwell greet visitors. Ply stair treads tie in with bathroom and kitchen joinery.
A bedroom at the rear opens to the heated outdoor swimming pool.
Congratulations to Isiah Reynolds and the fantastic Pzazz Building Taranaki team on your well-deserved win! The judging for the Master Builder House of the Year Awards is based primarily on quality of workmanship as well as design.
