1. Freestanding bathtubs and loads of texture

We would never advocate that you blindly follow trends from year to year and adapt or change your style to what seems “in”. But we do love showcasing what’s new and fresh in the world of design – we’re not called Pzazz Building for nothing!

Here’s a gorgeous example of what can be done with tiles – create your own bathroom mosaic, in this case on the ceiling as well as the walls and floor. 

4. More efficient bathrooms

The idea that you need an enormous bathroom to achieve the kind of luxury you crave has gone out the window thanks to modern bathroom design and fixtures. The trend in 2020 is for efficiency that doesn’t compromise on luxury, albeit on a small scale. The bathroom above uses a walk-in shower and a floating vanity with a smaller basin to make the most of the available space. 

Floating bathroom vanities are old news but it used to be that they were always in synthetic materials. Now we are seeing them in other non-traditional materials like stone and we love the results.

We’ve talked before about non-traditional items in bathrooms – in this case, a chair, old camera and books – but we liked the look of this bathroom so much, we had to include it. We especially like the contrast of the dark timber against white and the warm glow of the reddish under-lighting in the background.
