Whilst our prime goal is about delighting you and bringing unrivalled pleasure with living spaces that come alive we thought we would take this opportunity to tell you a little about Pzazz Building.

Introducing Pzazz Building

A new spirit of energy and style in the building industry

Since 2003, the name Fix It Building Services has stood for quality, service and a new level of trust in the residential building industry.

Two years later we also introduced the name Fix It Renovations to better reflect the larger-scale home renovation, extension and new build projects we have been involved in. But the name just didn't convey the sense of style and flair we put into these projects.

So we've come up with a new name for that part of our business - Pzazz. The word stands for spirit, panache and energy - just like we do.

When you're looking for something a little different, something a little special for your home, look out for Pzazz and our new logo and branding.

Two things won't change

  1. Our commitment to quality, service and trustworthiness in our new Pzazz business
  2. The name Fix It Building Services, which will remain the name of our repair, maintenance and restoration division

Meet Pzazz Building's Directors

Russell Poole, Managing Director

An experienced business leader, mentor and sports coach

  • As well as leading Nuovo Group, Russell's key roles in the business's management team are to provide coaching and mentoring to Affiliates in the areas of business performance, financial management and human resources
  • Russell has 20 years experience in the building services industry including senior roles in project and construction management and trade services personnel provision
  • Russell also spent seven years in manufacturing and has extensive experience of process improvement both in New Zealand and overseas including three years on the Board of Directors of Precision Office Industries
  • Having been with Nuovo Group for more than five years, as Southern Regional Manager and Business Performance Manager before his appointment as Managing Director in 2008, Russell jumped at the opportunity to purchase a 50% shareholding in the company, and brings a wealth of business knowledge, human resources and organisational expertise as well as general management capability to the network
  • In March of 2011 Russell took majority ownership of Nuovo Group through the acquisition of some of the shares held by Robin La Pere
  • In 2012 Nuovo Group launched Pzazz Building to target larger renovations, additions and new homes

Robin La Pere, Director

A business, marketing and franchise consultant 

  • Robin founded the Fix It Building Services network, part of the Nuovo Group, after purchasing the rights to the name and intellectual property from Carters in 2003
  • With post-graduate qualifications in marketing and more than 25 years of management, marketing and franchising experience, Robin's specialist areas are business strategy and marketing
  • Previous roles include senior management, marketing and franchising positions with several leading New Zealand and Hong Kong corporations, including Countywide Bank, Sino Land Company and Fletcher Building
  • As a successful franchise consultant, Robin worked with many clients in the building services industry, including Fletcher Aluminium, Signature Homes, Hire A Hubby, and Carters
  • In 2008, Robin took the opportunity to increase his shareholding in the business and to focus on developing a number of opportunities for developing and expanding the network in the future
  • In March of 2011 Robin sold a parcel of his shares to Russell Poole and ceased to work full time in the business but remains on the Board of Directors
  • In 2012 Nuovo Group launched Pzazz Building to target larger renovations, additions and new homes

Alyson Ballinger: Office Manager

No business operates successfully without an efficient and effective Office Manager and we are fortunate to have in our team a person with genuine empathy to peoples needs and a commitment to getting things sorted. Since 2008 Aly has been our go to person to get things done and keep our office running smoothly - long may this continue.

In addition, Pzazz Building works with a network of professionals whose role it is to provide expertise and support to Pzazz Affiliates which supplements the National Support Office team in specialist areas of the business such as marketing, banking and insurance.

Kieran Whitmore: Design, 3D Video and Estimating

Pzazz Building is committed to our customers having a great experience and achieving renovation outcomes that deliver living spaces that enhance their lives.

The initial focus of the role is to work with our network members and their customers to create initial design concepts and once these have been fully developed produce rendered stills plus a 3D Video walk through of the proposed renovation to enable the customer to experience what the completed project will look and feel like. From there, Kieran works with your local Pzazz Building owner to develop a budget estimate for the project.

Annelies Gordon: Systems Development & Maintenance
One of the keys to completing building projects that delight our customers is having great systems in the background supporting our experienced and knowledgeable people in the field.

The focus here is two-fold - firstly to have efficient and effective back office systems to minimise the overhead required to run each business unit and secondly, and most importantly, great systems and processes for working with our customers in a way that makes their experience enjoyable and rewarding.
