Project: New bathroom and ensuite

Project: New bathroom and ensuite with clever shower technology

Limited space was a reason Marian wanted to renovate and after a visit to her home, we made the suggestion to remove the wall between the bathroom and toilet, making it one large room.
We met Marian six months ago at the Homeshow here in Taranaki. She was looking around for ideas on what to do with her very outdated bathroom with its separate toilet.

Limited space was a reason Marian wanted to renovate and after a visit to her home, we made the suggestion to remove the wall between the bathroom and toilet, making it one large room. This posed the issue of natural light as the separate rooms had their own window so they now looked out of place in one large room. The solution was to move the existing windows central to the room. This was easily sorted, but caused its own little challenge. The house exterior cladding is brick - finding a colour match to the original bricks due to age could be an issue. We accepted the challenge and came out trumps. Window was moved and the new ‘old looking’ bricks applied to fill in the gaps of the cladding.

Marian had done her homework and decided it was a great time to upgrade the ensuite as well. She had found the new shower system by Englefeild ‘Studio Glide’, giving more space than what the pivot swing door would. She also decided to put the same tiles on the floor that were in the main bathroom, giving both bathrooms the same look and feel.

The finished renovation was well received and Marian advises she is stoked with her modern bathrooms.
